Our July Second Saturday dinner takes us back to Italy, specifically its Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, as we host our friends at Scarpetta Wines for a five-course wine dinner collaboration.
True to Italian traditions, part of everyday meals includes drinking good wine, great conversation, and little moments of celebration. Scarpetta Wines was created as an homage to this lifestyle. The word scarpetta refers to the small piece of bread used to soak up the last bit of delicious sauce on your plate that you can't possibly leave behind. We’re sure that we’ll be seeing you mop up your plate at the dinner. 😉

Baccalà in Rosso alla triestina — salt cod stew with tomatoes and potatoes
Brovada and Muset — Friulian sausage, pickled turnips, house kraut, polenta
